Privacy Policy for QuickReply for Contractors

Effective date: July 23, 2026

QuickReply for Contractors is designed to work locally in your browser. It does not require an account and does not operate a developer-controlled server.

Information handled by the extension

QuickReply handles the replies, shortcuts, company profile values, selected trade, preferences, favorites, and local reply-usage counters that you choose or generate by using the extension. It temporarily examines text immediately before the caret in an editable field to recognize a saved shortcut.

When you use a reply, it may process values you enter in the pre-insert form. If you voluntarily grant the optional clipboard permission and use {clipboard}, it reads the current text clipboard value for that insertion.

How information is used

This information is used only to provide the extension’s single purpose: expanding a shortcut into a reply selected and configured by you. Page text used for shortcut detection is processed in the active page and is not retained. Clipboard text is used for the requested insertion and is not retained unless it becomes part of text you intentionally save as a reply.

Storage and retention

Saved replies, profile values, and preferences are stored locally using Chrome extension storage on your device. QuickReply does not sync them to a developer server. The data remains until you edit it, import a replacement backup, clear the extension’s storage, or uninstall the extension. JSON exports are files you control.

Sharing, selling, and transmission

QuickReply does not transmit extension data to the developer or to third parties. It does not sell data, use data for advertising, perform analytics, or allow human access to user data. There are no external network requests in the extension.

QuickReply’s use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide or improve the extension’s disclosed shortcut-expansion feature.

Permissions

QuickReply uses local storage to save its configuration. It needs access to normal HTTP and HTTPS pages so it can recognize shortcuts in editable fields and insert the chosen reply. The optional clipboard-read permission is requested only through a user action in Settings and may be removed at any time.

Your controls

You can view, edit, delete, disable, export, and replace saved replies from the extension’s Settings page. You may pause shortcut expansion from the popup or Settings. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored Chrome extension data; exported JSON files must be deleted separately by you.

Children’s privacy

The extension is a productivity tool for businesses and is not directed to children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated policy will carry a new effective date. A change that materially affects data handling will also be disclosed in the extension UI and Chrome Web Store listing when required.
